It's been a busy 12 months since we last gathered together for a company-wide event, and there are plenty of new faces. We've opened offices in the Chicago Loop and in Oklahoma City, and we've added several areas of expertise for our national client base, including HR consulting and our OneLife Employee Assistance Program. But much remains the same at Plexus. For the majority of our 27 years in business, the company has taken a day or two to press pause, turn inward and get better through the communication, collaboration and creativity that just seems to flow when you put everyone in the same place, shut the doors and talk about making this year even better than the last. Plexus Team Building serves to refresh, recharge and refocus. This year's theme, "Power of The Past, Force of the Future," is an apt one for us, for while Plexus is growing faster than ever, a good deal of our leadership has been here from the early days. On Thursday, The Plexus Groupe will welcome **J.R. Martinez**, who is a study in [courage and diligence](http://jrmartinez.com/bio/). After surviving a roadside bomb attack as a U.S. Army Infantryman in 2003, Martinez has gained acclaim as a motivational speaker, written a [best-selling book,](https://www.amazon.com/Full-Heart-Survival-Strength-Spirit/dp/1401324746) garnered a role on "All My Children" and won "Dancing with the Stars." We'll be posting here all week, as well as on our social media accounts, so you'll want to be sure to follow us on **[Twitter](https://twitter.com/plexusgroupe)**, **[LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-plexus-groupe)**, **[Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/plexusgroupe/)** and **[Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/plexusgroupe/)**for the latest. We'll take plenty of pictures, because these two days go quick, and before you know it, everyone is back in their offices, hearts and minds a little fuller than before. ### Related Post [![](https://blog.plexusgroupe.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/IMG_20190520_173328.jpg?width=352&name=IMG_20190520_173328.jpg)](https://blog.plexusgroupe.com/plexus-blog/2019/5/22/the-plexus-groupe-celebrates-eoy-midwest-finalists) ##### [The Plexus Groupe Celebrates EOY Midwest Finalists](https://blog.plexusgroupe.com/plexus-blog/2019/5/22/the-plexus-groupe-celebrates-eoy-midwest-finalists) The Plexus Groupe’s Matt Wilkens addresses the EOY Midwest Finalists. ##### [Career opportunities at The Plexus Groupe.](https://blog.plexusgroupe.com/plexus-blog/news/career-opportunities-plexus-groupe) Spend some time in the insurance field, and you come to learn it’s a place that you can build a...
