2017 Plexus Team Building: Day One Recap

The Plexus Groupe kicked off its 2017 Team Building Event on Wednesday at the headquarters of the American Society of Anesthesiologists in Schaumburg, Ill.
Among the day's highlights was a detailed, thought-provoking presentation from Culture Index, a management consulting firm helping firms ensure the right talent is in the right roles via thorough personality and behavioral assessment. One of the most important takeaways from the discussion? In any conversation, knowing the personality type of both parties -- and tailoring the communication appropriately -- can pay dividends for all sides.

In the afternoon, Plexus's 100-plus employees split into eight groups to work on a case study, with each team discussing various business scenarios, then presenting their solutions to the whole audience. It was illuminating, and some wonderful ideas were harvested.

Later, Plexus hosted our carrier and business partners, including team building event sponsors, at Level 257, a retro arcade/bowling alley/restaurant/bar/lounge that must be seen to be believed. Many Plexus associates bowled, while others tried their hand at old classics like "Galaga." And everywhere you looked, there were groups talking -- catching up, learning more about themselves, thinking out loud.
