HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices due November 23

At least once every three years, health plans are required to inform plan participants regarding the availabilty of its HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), a document that outlines how the personal protected health information of enrollees is used and protected by the plan.
Plans who have yet to furnish a NPP to enrollees in the last three years have until Wednesday, November 23 to do so. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is a good resource for more information on notices, including templates that can be used by firms.

The Plexus Groupe annually furnishes a Notice of Privacy Practices to clients and can walk you through the steps needed to ensure HIPAA compliance.
